The San Juan edification of the Panetes began towards half-filled of the XVI century, after have pass the project of construction. The main promoter of the construction went the great castellan of Amposta Vicente of Oña. after several contretempses, Francisco Gaspar Lafriguera culminated the done works on the Romanesque ancestral home and the church was consecrated in 1725.In 1933 the church was deposed historical monument -Artístico of national interest and in 1935 suffered a fire. from 1960 , the —como government has done with other monuments of the ciudad— began plains to make young San Juan of the Panetes, specially return the walls to your color and natural texture.
