The tower of the pulpits is positioned in the west canvas of the wall of the Cáceres monumental city.Of square plant and built with granitic chairs, is found one's bearings towards the major plaza. Leaned to the external part of the wall, it is markedly christians, with your arrow in form of cross and your two form a corner with frontals finished off with cylindrical cubes, whose similitude with the pulpits of a church has earned your name. It has 16 meters of height. It is built when opening  the port new in order to defend from your arrow that new access to the city. It is the unique tower completely new from the Christian reconquest, and the unique adjoined with an arc that saves the narrow path behind the parapet of a fortress to one of the palaces, those of Mayoralgo. The association of the tower with the palace took to the owners to adjoin them by means of a high short step besides four meters, to avoid it obstruct the narrow path behind the parapet of a fortress. This permitted to the owners it has a share of the public eventses in the major plaza from the tower without need of exit to the street.Carried out for elcorrillo.com ://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torre_de_los_P%C3 %BAlpitos |http|
