És una pintoresca urbanització construïda entre els anys 1964 i 1972, promoguda per Gaietà Bori Tallada, René Vandemeuter i Pere Sureda. Van dissenyar una mena de poblet de pescadors amb edificis ornamentats seguint estils arquitectònics antics ( romànic, gòtic, mudèjar ) o imitant racons típics de diverses zones d"Espanya o d"Europa ( patis andalusos, hórreos gallecs, cases sardes...).
