Real sanctuary of Montesclaros

| The real Montesclaros sanctuary is positioned southwards of the swamp of the Ebro, in the municipality of Valdeprado of the river, demarcation of the Carabeos, in Cantabria. The sanctuary is found in a high to 950 meters on the sea level, from which it can descry the starts of the Ebro river;after surpassing the capture of the dam; in turn surrounded of forests of oak, have, hazel trees..., and other ground floors... |argomas| , farns, brezos. the church takes shelter to the virgin of Montesclaros, patroness of Campoo, and below the temple, besides the rupestrian habitation that it gave source to the sanctuary, can be contemplated recent archaeological discoveries.
