Great part of Villacarrillo is dedicated to the cultivation of the olive grove, being the producing worldwide major of oleum which has originated an important oiler industry. Also they exist isolated areas of land covered with underbrush and thicket and of coniferaes, those which reach big extensions, by assuming an important timber wealth.

Villacarrillo am a positioned municipality in the eastern part of the region of the hill and the villas, in the province of Jaen. Cuenta with two orographic well differentiated sectors: for a side, the area of countryside, of soft and earthly arched tilts, and for other, those of the saw of the villas, that forms part of the orographic set of the natural park of Cazorla, insurance and the villas.

The monument par excellence in Villacarrillo is the parochial church of the assumption, amazes |vandelviriana| that was deposed national monument for real decree on 3th June 1931. John of Vandelvira is monument author in Ubeda and Baeza.
